In order for Guanajuato’s population to have access to a plentiful life and development opportunities, the State Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, presented the New Social Strategy, “Guanajuato, Contigo Sí”.
It is based in 6 areas:
- Education
- Health
- Dignified dwellings for families
- Strong family income
- Social infrastructure
- Participation of citizens
The new reality
This strategy is aimed at responding to the new economic and social reality caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, with innovative public policies to continue with the economic and social reactivation, where citizen participation will be paramount.
“Today we call all sectors of society to join this historic effort; we call for ‘Contigo Sí’ to be a complete success. Today is a point of arrival and a new point of departure”, said the Governor.
Ability to adapt
Facing the pandemic, said the Governor, humanity showed its ability to adapt and evolve, to be resilient, to be open to change, to evolve through health and education, through human relations, communications and technology itself.
“Today we require an all new social policy that addresses this new reality and that combines our values with what we have learned in these two years of the pandemic”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The first place
“Guanajuato is a State that believes in humanism, puts people in the first place of its public policies, as the route for people to improve their quality of life,” said the Governor.
“Our goal is to create the conditions so that everyone can develop and achieve their dreams”, said Rodríguez Vallejo.
The Strategy is based on six objectives to be achieved in the remainder of the current Atate Administration:
- The second objective refers to all Guanajuatenses receiving quality medical attention
- The third goal aims to provide good quality spaces for family development, with the improvement of housing
- The fourth objective will focus on strengthening the income of the population, with various programs such as the Vales Grandeza, Social Card, temporary employment, productive projects, training and employment certifications
- The fifth goal indicates the improvement of the social and basic infrastructure in the communities, with basic, complementary, community infrastructure works
- The sixth goal promotes an organized and participatory population to achieve a peaceful and healthy environment
“In short, we will accompany and help those who need it most. Today we live in a new reality and for a new reality we require a new social strategy”, said the State Governor.
Greatness of Guanajuato
Guanajuato, said Rodriguez Vallejo, has a destiny of Greatness and to achieve it you have to climb to the top and it can only be achieved with a long-term vision and teamwork.
“You reach the top leaving no one behind, that is what we are doing today, moving towards a better future for our girls, boys and young people. We will continue forward with the same spirit and will to ensure that each and all Guanajuatenses achieve their dreams and their greatest aspirations”; said the Governor.
“’Contigo Sí’, will be a powerful tool to reach the top that we long for. ’Contigo Sí’ is a bet for a better future”, saiud Rodriguez Vallejo.

- Support with scholarships
- Health
- Housing
- Better streets
- A better life for Guanajuato residents
