More than 6,000 students graduate from UVEG in 2023

2,868 young people completed study programs during the period June–September 2023

The Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato -UVEG- held its third Graduation Ceremony of the year, in which 2,868 students completed their studies. In 2023, a total of 7,168 people have successfully completed their virtual program.

The celebration was held at the Guanajuato Auditorium, in Guanajuato City, 551 people were at the venue in person with family members, and who are now getting ready to continue with their personal and professional development. through the different programs offered by UVEG.

“Challenges arose, which I managed to solve with the support of the UVEG Advisors, with all certainty I can say that it was very gratifying to study at this university. Fortunately I had very prepared advisors, who were always supporting, solving doubts. I highlight the human value of each one of them. We are graduates of the UVEG Community, we are those who long for a better world, those who climb a step to achieve the opportunity of a new beginning, grateful to this great institution that we will gladly carry its seal as our flag”, said Jasmin Loera Montoya, graduate of the Master’s Degree in Education with a Focus on Innovation in Teaching Practice, on behalf of the UVEG community, as she highlighted the great work done by the Advisors.

“Today we are witnesses of a generation of students who are not afraid to face challenges and who are willing to write new chapters. I want to express my recognition to a great university: UVEG, for its great work. Allow me to congratulate each and every one of the graduates for this great achievement”, said Margarita Rionda, Member of the LXV Legislature of the Congress of the State of Guanajuato.

Rionda motivated the UVEG students to give their best “in every stage of your life. Continue forward with this same determination and with more commitment that you have shown now and that education is for you an experience that you have obtained here and that you will surely continue to face more challenges.  I wish you the best of success!”.

By educational level, 1,215 high school students finished, while 1,224 completed their majors and a total of 429 finished masters degrees.

“Today is an extraordinary day, a day of celebration and achievements. I know it has not been easy, since online learning requires perseverance, will and discipline. But you have shown that distance is not an obstacle when you have determination. I ask you to remember that learning does not end here, education is a continuous journey and we must continue preparing to take advantage of the opportunities of the future. Celebrate this achievement with your loved ones, with your family, who have been a fundamental part of your success, congratulations!”, said Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.

“I celebrate and share the happiness of 2,868 students who today meet this goal. Today you are the lucky ones who have managed to be part of online education. I applaud you and you should applaud yourselves because you made the decision to take an electronic instrument and complete the Major that you are finishing today. No matter how difficult it may have been or not. Today we are here in the same conditions, that is why I invite you to thank those who motivated and accompanied you”, said Rector of the UVEG, Ricardo Narvaez Martinez.

Roxana de Jesus Najar Arias, a graduate of the major of Law, received double congratulations in the categories of Honorable Mention and Academic Excellence, while Maria Elisa Lara Colis, a graduate of the Bachelor of Pedagogy, was recognized with honorable mention in virtual degree programs thanks to her academic performance.

Jasmin Loera Montoya, a graduate of the master’s degree in Education with a Focus on Innovation in Teaching Practice, obtained double congratulations in the categories of Honorable Mention and Academic Excellence.
