The Secretary of National Defense sends more elements to strengthens and improve Public Security in Guanajuato
New elements are assigned to work in Leon, Irapuato, Celaya and Salamanca

The Secretary of National Defense –SEDENA- through the Commands of the XII military Region and 16th Military Zone, informed about the arrival of 350 elements of the Mexican Army and 190 elements of Special Forces as part of the Joint Task Force Mexico, in order to join the effort of the Mexican State to inhibit the activities of the organized crime in Guanajuato.
To achieve this goal, it is informed in the press release, this group of elements will be assigned to work in Municipalities with the highest crime rates like Leon, Irapuato, Celaya and Salamanca.
The goal, informs the press report, is to strengthen the intere-institution actions in Public Security by authorities of the 3 levels of Government, to guarantee citizens an environment of calm, peace and security.
With these actions the Government of Mexico confirms its commitment through the Secretary of National Defense and the National Guard to safeguard the well being of citizens, states the press release of SEDENA.
