The State Government invests 212 MP in Avenida Insurgentes and Puente del Rio Laja to connect to the Polytechnic University of Guanajuato
29 Public Property Deeds were delivered to people benefited by the Program “Papelito Habla”

On a working tour of Cortazar, Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, handed over the rehabilitation works of the Insurgentes Avenue Extension and the Rio Laja Bridge, also called University Bridge.
More than 212 million pesos were invested in both projects under the responsibility of the Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility -SICOM-.
“Keeping my word because that is important, that this bridge 132 meters long was going to come out with a hundred percent State resource. It is good that we have gathered here today to witness this work. Today we are here showing our faces and telling Cortazar, commitment fulfilled with the population”, said Governor Diego Sinhue.
The investment on the bridge was for 82.4 million pesos to benefit of 48 thousand 964 inhabitants.
To connect to the Polytechnic University of Guanajuato and improve mobility and access for students and teachers, the construction works for the extension of Insurgentes Avenue were also delivered.
The investment was for 129.7 million pesos and was built in three sections that include bays for transportation stops, bus stops, lighting, plumbing and storm water services, and horizontal and vertical signage.
These works began last January and consisted of the construction of 2.04 kilometers of roads for the benefit of 69,371 inhabitants and through which 10,380 vehicles pass daily.
With the University Bridge and the extension of Insurgentes Avenue, the inhabitants of Cortazar will be able to move more quickly, safely and comfortably to their homes, schools, jobs and to carry out their daily activities.
Later, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo handed over the rehabilitation work on the infrastructure of the Ninos Heroes de Chapultepec elementary school, in Cortazar.
The State Government, through the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato –SEG- and the Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility –SICOM-, carried out the construction of a perimeter fence, as well as rehabilitation and maintenance of the campus. The investment for the work was 2.4 million pesos.
Later, in Cortazar, the Governor delivered support to people who benefited from the My Productive and Sustainable Family program, and delivered deeds from the “Papelito Habla” program.
Through My Productive and Sustainable Family, support is provided such as packages of sheep, goats and laying birds for backyard production; as well as nixtamal and forage mills; ecological stoves, hermetic silos and cisterns for water collection.
748 thousand 580 pesos were delivered in support:
- 28 nixtamal mills of 1hp
- 47 packages of sheep (2 females)
- 14 packages of goats (2 females)
- 47 packages of 15 birds
Of the total investment, 299 thousand 432 pesos are a State contribution, the same amount of Municipal contribution and 149 thousand 716 pesos contribution of the beneficiaries.
At the moment there is already an agreement with 30 municipalities to activate this program.
Also 29 Public Deeds of Property were delivered to people benefiting from Regularized Human Settlements with the State Program “Papelito Habla”. This delivery benefits 113 inhabitants of the following Human Settlements:
Col. Guanajuato 1st Section, Jacinto Lopez, Moreno, San Nicolas de los Manantiales, Villa de Amoles II Section and Santa Fe
