962 migrants from Guanajuato approached the Health System Gto services to return healthier

The Gto Health System, through health fairs, adds the care of 962 migrants from Guanajuato and their families, offering them a guaranteed package of preventive care so that they return healthier to the United States.
The head of the Gto Health System Daniel Diaz Martinez reported that thanks to the Migrant Health fairs in the State of Guanajuato, a total of 962 participants were contacted in 6 exclusive fairs for this sector of the population and their families.
These comprehensive actions occurred in the municipalities of:
- Dolores Hidalgo with 300 participants
- San Jose Iturbide with 92 participants
- Comonfort with 160 participants
- Valle de Santiago with another 200 participants
- Leon 120 participants
- Manuel Doblado 90 participant
In addition to holding fairs in strategic places such as public squares, migrants were referred to Health Centers in their localities during their stay in Guanajuato.
And although the month of December is the one that registers the greatest number of migrant visitors to Guanajuato the Gto Health System maintains this strategy throughout the year.
Daniel Diaz Martinez explained that in the Health Centers the migrants and their family are given a Guaranteed Package of promotion and prevention services that consists of providing medical care such as detection of diabetes, obesity, weight control, height, blood pressure, regardless of the reason that generated their visit to the health center.
The Guaranteed Package has three very important objectives, which are to guarantee effective promotion and prevention actions for each of the population groups.
Social co-responsibility is also promoted in health care and ensure a nominal information system that must be monitored and evaluated.
Also, the National Health Card is updated, it is an instrument for individualized registration of basic actions of promotion of health and prevention of illneses.
