This new hospital means a big step for Guanajuato: Governor

“This investment comes to consolidate a hospital of the highest quality in this health cluster that is being formed,” said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the inauguration of the Christus Muguerza Altagracia Hospital in Leon.
It is a ‘first world’ hospital, where 1.5 billion pesos were invested to provide quality medical care with the latest technology. It will generate 500 direct jobs, of which 350 to 400 will be for local personnel.
“A health ecosystem is beginning to appear that will allow the Bajio, given its geographical location, its logistics, among other things, the possibility of attracting a large number of people who come to Guanajuato to treat their illnesses.
“This is a strategic line that will be reflected for the next 30 years of the Guanajuato development plan,” said the Governor.
But to grow the medical cluster and medical quality in Guanajuato, said the Governor, it is necessary to bet on social justice; that is, offer people first-class medical care and education in public institutions, just as a person with economic solvency can have in private institutions.
“When you match those conditions, you give people a platform to take off to improve their quality of life; that is why our great investment in the Guanajuato Health System, because we seek social justice”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“This new hospital means a big step for Guanajuato, thanks for trusting Guanajuato, and may this not be the last to be inaugurated in the State,” said the Governor.
This hospital is located at:
- Boulevard, Jorge Vertiz Campero, close to the Juan Alonso de Torres boulevard, and close to the Clinic No. 58 of IMSS
The hospital has:
- 7 floors
- 64 rooms for hospitalization
- 72 medical offices
- An emergency room
- An intensive care unit for adults and neonatal
- Imaging
- Laboratory
- Among other services
Christus Muguerza is an innovative health system made up of:
- 12 hospitals
- 13 first-level medical care centers
- 2 short-stay clinics
The health facilities are located in 7 states of Mexico:
- Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Yucatan, Chihuahua, Puebla and now Guanajuato
These hospitals are part of Christus Health, an international health system with a presence in the United States, Colombia, Chile and Mexico.
“We promote automation and digital technological innovation that streamlines care processes, increases safety, assists in the diagnostic process, making medicine more accurate, more accurate, more personalized, but above all, it allows us to focus on what is most important: the personalized and human care of our patients”, said Horacio Garza Ghio, General Director of the Christus Muguerza System.
