During her work tour of Pénjamo, the Secretary of Social and Human Development of the State of Guanajuato (SEDESHU), Libia Dennise García led the delivery of recognition to 100 municipal police officers for successfully completing their training as part of the “Yo Puedo, Gto Puede” program.
On behalf of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the head of SEDESHU congratulated the police officers who completed the course, also assuring that there are constantly good comments on the performance they are carrying out in this municipality.
“From the State Government we are deeply proud of your work, we are together Pénjamo and Guanajuato building the State in which our children deserve to live, a State of peace and tranquility. Congratulations and many congratulations!”, said the Secretary.
This initiative aims to develop the skills of the elements of the different security corporations to become agents of social transformation, likewise, the call is open to the public and has volunteer promoters and instructors.
The program is structured in 24 sessions that are grouped into four modules:
- How we live and how we can change
- Building bridges
- Builders of change towards happiness
- Organizing ourselves to ensure our life plan
To date the program has been replicated in these municipalities:
- Atarjea, Dolores Hidalgo, Doctor Mora, Huanimaro, Leon, San Felipe, San Jose Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, Victoria, Villagran and Xichu
In addition to the Mayor of Penjamo, Sophia Huett Lopez, Executive Secretary of the State Public Security System was in this tour.
