Guanajuato reaffirms its leadership in meetings tourism (MICE) in central Mexico by hosting FIEXPO Workshop & Technical Visit Leon 2026, an international event that positions the State as one of the destinations with the greatest capacity to attract and host high-level events with specialized attention.
From March 17 to 20, Leon welcomes international buyers, event organizers and industry professionals from countries such as Colombia, Peru, Panama, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay, who participate in an intensive agenda of business, training and destination experiences.
FIEXPO is one of the most important events in the meetings industry in Latin America, focused on professional development, business generation, and strengthening strategic partnerships.
This year, Guanajuato is hosting 60 local exhibitors, 30 international buyers, and over 100 training professionals, generating more than 900 business meetings and representing concrete opportunities to attract congresses, conventions, incentive trips, and corporate events.
The event’s operational headquarters are distributed between the Hotel Galeria Plaza Leon, where the business meetings are held, and the Poliforum Leon, a key venue for specialized training provided by ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), a world-leading organization in the meetings industry.
In addition to business and training activities, attendees participate in immersive destination experiences, tours, and networking activities that allow them to learn about Guanajuato’s infrastructure, connectivity, and hospitality, key elements for making investment decisions and selecting locations.
FIEXPO in Leon continues the State’s sustained strategy in the MICE segment, following previous editions held in Guanajuato City (2023) and Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende (2024), consolidating a network of destinations prepared to host international events with high quality standards.
This specialized care model, which integrates infrastructure, professionalization of the sector and valuable experiences, positions Guanajuato as one of the most competitive destinations in the center of Mexico in meetings tourism, able to generate tangible results in attracting events and economic benefits for the tourism value chain.
