The Guanajuato Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Meeting of the People’s Government was held, bringing together key players in the region’s ecosystem in an event that became a driving force for collaboration and strategy for the future of the State.

The event, organized by the Innovation Institute in partnership with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), Banamex, and Coppel, focused on strengthening entrepreneurship through cooperation and the exchange of experiences.

Participants had the opportunity to share the support and opportunities their organizations offer internationally. Strategic data and diagnostics of the Bajio ecosystem were presented, allowing attendees to identify specific challenges and opportunities. In addition, best practices were shared and productive dialogue was generated in roundtable discussions, where joint actions for the growth of local entrepreneurship were defined.

The event included a panel on “Trends in Entrepreneurship Ecosystems,” featuring Daniel Astorga Espinoza, Coppel Emprende Leader, and Pedro Martinez Estrada, Director of ANDE Latin America. They highlighted the importance of technology, artificial intelligence, and digitalization as catalysts for economic development.

Pedro Martinez of ANDE recognized the Institute’s work, as it is one of the few states, or the only place in Mexico, that promotes and supports entrepreneurs. That’s why, in collaboration with the association, a study is being conducted to assess the state of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Guanajuato.

Another panel featured 140 participants from Banamex Social Impact and Promotion. This event, moderated by Veronica Solana , highlighted and strengthened the work of local entrepreneurs such as Nicolas Angeles Govea of EcoScience Lab and Karen Burstein Campos, a leading businesswoman in the restaurant industry.

The main objective of the event was to promote the exchange of experiences and connections with organizations that generate social and economic impact in the community. The day came to an end with a networking event that facilitated the creation of strategic connections among attendees.

ANDE is a global network of organizations supporting small business entrepreneurs and growing small businesses (SMBs) that are key to a sustainable and inclusive development.
