Guanajuato is preparing to create the perfect ecosystem for the transformation to the electric car industry: Governor
More than 350 companies participate and more than 38 thousand visitors are expected

“Guanajuato will be the epicenter of the electric car industry in the future and we will achieve it hand in hand with CLAUGTO”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the inauguration of the 9th Forum of Automotive Suppliers 2022.
Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato –CLAUGTO- holds the event in Leon, with business meetings, and work that is done to strengthen automotive supply chains between buyers and suppliers of the industry.
“In Guanajuato we not only manage and solve problems, but we have a shared vision of the future. The greatest strength that Guanajuato has is that we work shoulder to shoulder, authorities and businessmen and also with the academy we are making Guanajuato a model state so it becomes a role model for the Country”, said the Governor.
In a few years, said Rodriguez Vallejo, there will be a complete shift from manufacturing to Mindfacture. It is the strategy that is promoted in Guanajuato with the allies of Industry 4.0, to create opportunities that lead to raising the quality of life of Guanajuatenses.
It is the most dynamic forum in Latin America where more than 350 companies take part and more than 38 thousand visitors are expected.
In this 2022 edition, there will be actions very focused on Mindfacture 4.0 and the 2022 Automotive Congress will also be held, it is an event that supports companies to visualize and adapt to the challenges that the industry faces today.
Rodriguez Vallejo explained that CLAUGTO is the largest and most representative cluster of its kind in Mexico, since it integrates more than 160 associates that represent 80% of the automotive industry in Guanajuato and generates more than 100 thousand formal jobs in Guanajuato; it is the industry with the greatest contribution to the State’s GDP and the main exporter.
The 7th and 8th editions of the Automotive Supplier Forum were held virtually and in the last edition, the event became the most important business meeting in Latin America with more than 38,750 attendees and 15,000 connections with more than 240 million dollars in closed sales.
In the event Leon-Silao-Celaya and CLAUGTO signed a collaboration agreement to promote the development of the automotive industry, through projects and strategies that generate a positive impact in the region.
The Mayors of Leon, Alejandra Gutierrez Campos; of Silao, Carlos Garcia Villasenor, and of Celaya, Francisco Javier Mendoza Marquez and the executive president of the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato, Rolando Alanis Rosales, signed the collaboration agreement; the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, signed as witness of honor.
