The ISSEG guarantees pension payments to 22,000 retirees

“We work every day to be competitive, to have the best prices, to provide better service. Because when we visit and shop at an ISSEG pharmacy, we are strengthening the pension fund,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, on the program Connecting with the People.

In the weekly program, the Governor spoke with the General Director of the Guanajuato State Social Security Institute, Judith Juarez Guzman, to share with the people of Guanajuato how the Institute works, ensuring the payment of pensions and benefits, and also providing affordable prices for its products.

“Our pension system is the best fund this country has, and that has also been thanks to the work, good decisions, and vision of those who have led this Institution,” the Governor said.

Good news for pensioners, retirees, and workers is that personal loans and supplementary credits can now be applied for entirely online; all you need is a payroll stub, bank statement, and a certified electronic signature from the State Government.

“Our Government’s strategy seeks to increasingly digitize procedures and services so they are accessible to users,” said the Governor of Guanajuato.

The ISSEG Director said that personal and mortgage loans have the most competitive rates on the market, even more affordable than bank rates.

Another support for retirees is the 20 Retirement Homes, distributed across 19 municipalities, which serve as a space where retired workers can continue building community. A new one will soon open in Apaseo el Alto, and the cornerstone will be laid for the construction of another in Silao.

With 202 pharmacies in 46 municipalities, seven parking lots, financial investments, and shopping malls, the ISSEG guarantees payments to 22,000 pensioners and retirees, as well as the insurance and benefits of 68,000 active employees.

The Institute recently launched the “Prices that Take Care of You” campaign, introducing the ISSEG Guarantee Mark, a seal that guarantees the lowest market prices for selected products.

“This seal guarantees that you won’t find that product anywhere cheaper than at the ISSEG pharmacy,” said Libia Dennise. The current list includes 96 products for sale at the most affordable prices.

With the loyalty program, pensioners and retirees who shop at ISSEG pharmacies receive 10% of their total purchase points, redeemable for products at the same pharmacy.

Regarding ISSEG parking lots, five of which are located in Guanajuato City, Director Judith mentioned that all have already been integrated into Parko, the mobile app that allows users to check parking space availability in real time and pay directly from their cell phones.

Finally, the Governor reported that the owners of GtoLeasing decided to terminate their contract, despite the positive performance. Judith noted that the Institute did not suffer any financial loss and detailed that profits were made, which will be reported to the public shortly.
