Pursuing the human right to water is one of the priorities of the country’s operating agencies, which work together with the three levels of government and society, with the aim of developing comprehensive models to improve the management of drinking water services and sanitation.
The National Association of Water and Sanitation Entities of Mexico (ANEAS), since 1986, organizes one of the most important congresses in Latin America in the water sector and together they analyze alternatives to strengthen the utilities and exchange knowledge through conferences, workshops and seminars.
The event was suspended in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covd 19 pandemic, but this year, from December 5 to 9, Irapuato will host the XXXIV ANEAS Convention and Expo, which will be receive special guests from other countries such as Israel, Colombia, the United States and the Netherlands.
Lorena Alfaro Garcia, Mayor of Irapuato, highlighted the importance of having forums like this one, with the participation of specialists, to strengthen the preparation of the operating agencies, for the benefit of the citizens, as well as for the specialized care of this natural resource.
“We are very happy because this important national event and one of the most important in Latin America in terms of water, will be held in our State. I congratulate Jose Lara for having the courage to accept the presidency of ANEAS and for bringing this event to our city, Irapuato”
