The State Training Institute -IECA- in coordination with the State Congress will teach the virtual course “Induction to the legislative function”, aimed at students and the general public, so that they can learn about the functioning of the parliamentary process and the basic elements of representation, informed Juan Carlos Lopez Rodriguez, General Director of the IECA.
At the opening of the Legislative Academy, Lopez Rodriguez specified that the course promoted by the deputies of the Congress of Guanajuato aims for citizens to know the parliamentary process, which entails the drafting of a law, the basic functions of representation, legislation and parliamentary control that allow creating a favorable impact on democratic governance.
Lopez Rodriguez said that registration to enroll in the course is open from February 8 to March 8 of 2024 and those interested will be able to register on the website of the State Congress, while the start of the training will take place from the 11th. of March. So far, 130 people have registered for the course, which will last 13 hours, of which ten will be virtual and three in person, the latter will take place in the legislative precinct.
The general director of the IECA commented that the virtual delivery of this course will give a complete vision to the citizens of the complex activity carried out by legislators and will have a real and reliable image of their work.
The preparation of the Induction to the Legislative Function course was carried out on the IECA Virtual digital platform, which has digital resources such as infographics, videos, PDFs, education games and the design of self-managed courses. IECA Virtual becomes a friendly platform and offers a harmonious and pleasant learning experience.
Víctor Manuel Zanella Huerta, President of the Congress of Guanajuato, noted that the objective of the course is for young people to become the new legislators, who can make decisions based on having better information, with greater knowledge, tools and values that allow them to do a better job. than the one we are performing today.
Zanella added that this course seeks to encourage new generations to become active social actors and participants, who, from their trenches, can change our society.
