The State Training Institute -IECA- provided support to 80 young students from different universities in Guanajuato so that they could create and program the robot that they will use in the first Robot Battle Tournament that will be held on Next February 22 at the Poliforum.
The courses that students receive are focused on C++ Programming where they will learn to program electrical actuators and sensors to control the robot. They will also use Computer Aided Design so they can create new parts to fit their robot.
The training began on January 27 and finished on February 10, where students also received training in electrical control, as this knowledge will allow them to know the operation and electrical components of the robot.
In this combat organized by the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, 20 teams of university students will participate assembling their combat robots to survive in the ring. The confrontation will occur in a properly protected cage that will include other hazards and obstacles that could damage, block or disable the robot. At the end of the battle there will only be one winning team.
For the winning students, the IECA will provide 12 scholarships so that the winning teams can pursue diplomas in Advanced Manufacturing, PCBS Design and Computer Aided Design, the first two would be virtual and the last in person to be held at the IECA Irapuato Campus.
