IECA, a fundamental pillar of development: Governor

This institute has set historic records in trained people. We are talking about more than 757 thousand people through 49 thousand courses, just in the period 2018 – 2024: Diego Sinhue

Governor chaired the event Training for work: “IECA’s Legacy and Commitment”

“The State Training Institute -IECA- is a fundamental pillar of the evolution that Guanajuato has had in the last 30 years, and is also a national benchmark in providing specialized labor to the productive sectors of our State”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, as he chaired the event Training for Work: “Legacy and commitment of IECA”.

The Governor stressed that in these years, the IECA has written a history with great results.

Today the Institute has:

• 28 schools
• 2 Specialized High Technology Centers in the municipalities of Salamanca and Leon
• The Richard E. Dauch Institute of Education and Development in Silao

Rodriguez Vallejo added that IECA has 5 technological centers in:

• San Miguel de Allende, San Jose Iturbide, San Francisco del Rincon, Silao, Villagran and Purisima del Rincon

As well as 6 specialized centers:

• The Center for Electronic Design and Integrated Circuits (CEDECI)
• Center for Packaging and Wrapping (Capackgto)
• Center for Specialized Automation (CEA)
• Center for Engineering and Technological Development (Ingenium)
• Advanced Manufacturing Center (Caman)
• AAM-IECA Innovation Center

The Governor stressed that CEDECI, which was inaugurated in July of 2023, already has innovations in the medical field with printed circuit boards for biomedical technologies.

In addition, in 2022, IECA Virtual was launched, a platform for online courses, with electronic equipment, licenses, space adaptation and internet services.

IECA has set records with:

• 757 thousand people taking courses
• Through 49 thousand courses
• In the period 2018–2024

The Governor emphasized that the IECA has been important in strengthening the Valley of Mindfacture.

Rodriguez Vallejo recognized IECA for being an undisputed breeding ground for talent in the industry and a driving force that is driving the Guanajuato of the future at full speed. “We are proud of the work that the instructors, trainers, administrative staff, members of the Board of Directors, and its general director, Juan Carlos López Rodríguez, have done; congratulations to all of you”, he said.

The Director of IECA, Juan Carlos Lopez Rodriguez, thanked the Governor for his support in promoting actions that have strengthened this institute, which is currently an example in training in all of Mexico.
