Guanajuato/Gto News
As part of the actions of the Assisted Return Plan for Guanajuatense Migrants announced by the Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Undersecretary for Attention to Migrants and in the Context of Mobility, Susana Guerra Vallejo, carried out a working tour in border cities with the United States to join forces and support Guanajuatense migrants in case they are deported.

First, Susana Guerra was in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, where she established collaboration agreements with the National Migration Institute to receive information from Guanajuato residents who arrive at their facilities and to be able to provide them with immediate attention.

Later, the Undersecretary presented the Assisted Return Plan for Migrants from Guanajuato to officials of the Tamaulipas government to coordinate actions and assist Guanajuatense residents deported through the border crossings of Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa. Citizen organizations, municipal and State agencies of Tamaulipas, shelters and international organizations participated in this roundtable.

This work agenda corresponds to one of the three axes of action of the Assisted Return Plan for Guanajuatense Migrants, corresponding to the care provided at the border, with which the State Government, through the Secretary of Human Rights, monitors the migratory movement in border cities with the United States to detect the deportation of Guanajuatense residents and provide them with comprehensive support.
