SSG reports the current measles situation with no community transmission at this time
Guanajuato/Gto News
The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato maintains control of measles in the State without community transmission.

Health Secretary Gabriel Cortes Alcala urged people not to let their guard down and to bring their children to be vaccinated from 12, 18 months of age and 6 years of age, or if you are in the group of 10 to 50 years old and do not have a vaccination history.
The active Epidemiological Surveillance System is maintained under constant monitoring and in coordination with the Federation to protect the population.

Currently, Guanajuato has two positive cases in initial tests published at the federal level, one of them being a 28-year-old man from the city of Leon. The second probable case is still pending confirmation and is a 32-year-old male from the city of Leon.
Both have recovered and returned to their daily activities, which is why Guanajuato currently has no active cases of measles. The Institute of Epidemiological Diagnosis and Reference (InDRE) will be the body that confirms or rules out this second probable case.

Guanajuato remains in second-to-last place nationally with the lowest incidence of confirmed cases.
At the time, in both cases, rapid response teams established an epidemiological cordon and a vaccination blockade.
To date, 413,205 doses have been administered from January 2025 to the present in the 46 municipalities, and there is an availability of 219,195 doses in People’s Health Centers and other medical units.
Among the basic actions that we all must adopt are frequent hand washing with soap and water, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, as well as adequate ventilation of spaces to reduce the concentration of viral particles.
