Upon the challenges of 2020, uniting efforts to promote one of the traditional industries of Guanajuato is necessary in order to activate the hat sector. This has motivated Lucy Cortes Gutierrez to organize the first Virtual Congress “Route of hats and Business” (Ruta de Sombreros y Negocios) in San Francisco del Rincon December 2nd to December 5th.
The right moment
“We believe that this is the moment to support ourselves, help ourselves, this is a moment when there are also a lot of people in the country and out of the country who have lost their jobs and who perhaps had some kind of lay off liquidation and maybe in the end they will not find a job. I believe it is the moment to be creative and to learn to make business and life in new ways”, said Lucy Cortes.
The organizer said that this project comes up in order to bring into the national and international virtual map the companies of the municipalities of the Rincon and those that are neighbors and help the companies and people who want to start new business.
Into the digital world
The pandemic made many companies update in the digitalization, and in the last 6 months there has been an increase in the use of technology, making the crisis a call for companies in the sector to adopt and be part of the new wave of digital business.
In this first Congress more than 30 companies are participating, from sectors like the leather goods, shoe, textile, hats and even agro-foods.
Business promoted
Organizers expect some 800 visitors during the 4 days of the event, both national and international mainly from Colombia, Honduras, the United States, Argentina and El Salvador, among other.
The program of the Virtual Congress Route of Hats and Business includes training and Showrooms where companies and visitors can do business.
