In order to maintain closeness with migrants, the government of Guanajuato, brought programs and services to Guanajuatenses who work in various areas of the United States.
Juan Hernandez, Secretary for Migration and International Affairs on a working tour of the US, said that Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo’s task is not to leave our migrants alone.
“During this visit we brought you a service fair, which included the participation of the Secretary of Government of Guanajuato through the Civil Registry and the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato, to provide various procedures, to mention a few points”, said Juan Hernandez.
Hernández said that the Guanajuatenses in the US were provided with information on:
- Birth certificate procedures
- Death certificate procedures
- Correction of certificates
- Marriage certificate procedures
- Dual nationality procedures
- Information to complete studies in high school, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees and doctorates online, as well as English courses
Juan Hernandez said that the schedule of the work tour also included a visit to day laborers from Guanajuato who work in the city of Tustin, California with the aim of giving them support and informing them of everything that the .State government has for them through the Migrant Secretary.
“I visited them so they know that in Guanajuato they have their people and their government to get ahead”, said Hernandez
The Secretary for Migrants and International Affairs said that a request for support was received from Mario Alvarado and Diana Jimenez Gonzalez from Penjamo, to support their baby Emmanuel Alvarado Jimenez, who requires a very delicate heart operation.
“Thanks to the actions taken by the SMEI and the migrant leader Yesenia Rojas, a humanitarian visa was obtained for him to be admitted to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for analysis to be carried out and to proceed with the operation”, said Hernandez.
At the end of this working visit, Juan Hernandez had the opportunity to visit little Emanuel Alvarado and his parents to follow up on his case and offer the support of the State government as in other cases.
