The State of Guanajuato is the epicenter of relations with the European Union, which allows for the creation of financial models that promote the strengthening of income, formality, the quality of spending, the transparency and accountability, in favor of continuous, inclusive and sustainable development.
For this reason, the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, led the launch of the State Treasury Model for Social Cohesion (MHECS), as part of the Meeting with the European Union, a space that improves the dialogue between the Ambassadors of the member countries and the heads of the Finance Secretaries of the States.
“Our policy has always been to take more Guanajuato to the World and bring more World to Guanajuato and that means making alliances with the best on the planet, learning from the best and from the best practices, that is what we have been doing with the European Union with this State Treasury Model for Social Cohesion”, said the Governor.
“This type of alliance has allowed us to have a global vision of the world in all areas of the Government and we can implement the best international practices for the benefit of citizens,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
By signing the agreement of wills to participate in the MHECS (with a duration of 4 years and funding from the EU for 5 million euros), the Mexican States will be able to participate in training events that will be provided by international specialists, work reunions for the exchange of good practices and be part of learning trips abroad.
This model aims to trigger an increase in income and improve public spending with healthy finances in the states of Mexico, with a view to establishing a greater number of technical assistance programs in different areas.
Hector Salgado Banda, Secretary of Finance, Investment and Administration of Guanajuato and His Excellency Gautier Mignot, Ambassador of the European Union in Mexico, offered a press conference to discuss the benefits of replicating the best financial practices in Guanajuato.
“We are going to see the results and a great result is that we are already having this learning of the best practices in the world,” said Secretary Hector Salgado Banda. Present in this day of activities were ambassadors of the European Union, representatives of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria; Spain, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Czech Republic and Romania.
