The operation of flights to more destinations will make it possible to continue positioning the BJX airport as a key point of connectivity between Mexico and the world

Guanajuato celebrated the inauguration of the Atlanta–Bajio route, which is operated by Aeromexico, as part of its alliance with Delta Air Lines.
“The air connectivity of Guanajuato expands with the arrival of the Aeromexico flight from the city of Atlanta, Georgia, the largest airport in the world to the Guanajuato International Airport which will let us have great connectivity,” said Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato.
El Bajio is an area recognized for its great economic activity, with a variety of established industries such as manufacturing, agro-industrial, logistics, aerospace, technology, among others. The operation of flights to more destinations will allow us to continue positioning this airport as a key point of connectivity between Mexico and the world.
“We are very grateful with the Airport Group and the airline for trusting Guanajuato and working in alliances,” said the Secretary of Tourism.
Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales of Aeromexico, said that this flight symbolizes an important step in the expansion plan in collaboration with Delta Air Lines, improving global connectivity from the Bajio region.
“This event highlights our strong commitment to expanding options for our passengers. We thank the Government of Guanajuato, the municipality of Silao de la Victoria and the airport authorities for their support and collaboration to achieve the opening of this route”, said Mulinelli.
“We are excited about the opportunities that this new route will bring to both the country and the region,” said the Vice President.
