Guanajuato will be the guest State at the 2023 San Marcos National Fair, the largest event in Mexico and Latin America that will take place from April 15 to May 7.
Juan José Álvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato and José Ángel González Serna, President of the Board of Trustees of the San Marcos National Fair, formalized the invitation that Governor Teresa Jiménez Esquivel made to the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, so that the Guanajuato entity will show its culture, its art, its tradition, its gastronomy, and the Guanajuato Brand products.
In this edition of the Fair, Guanajuato will be represented by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES- and the State Institute of Culture, Guanajuato dependencies that will take a very important sample of the entity to Aguascalientes.
“This year Guanajuato is honored to present some additions that will allow the more than 8 million attendees -to the Fair- a more enriching experience”, said Álvarez Brunel.
Guanajuato is invited “because of its enriching culture, its gastronomy, its history and its thriving economy and tourism, all of which were important elements for it to be present at the San Marcos National Fair. Aguascalientes is very fond of the State of Guanajuato,” said Ángel González Serna.
The president of the Board of the San Marcos National Fair assured that in the 2023 edition of the April festival, Guanajuato will have the opportunity to show the world its greatness in such an important international showcase, since “La Gigante de México” is considered the best fair in Latin America and that, for the same reason, every Mexican or foreign person would have to experience at least once in their life.
The San Marcos Fair is one of the oldest in the country, it has 195 years of history, and this time it is celebtrated over more than 94 hectares full of activity and color, with events that incude culture, shows, sports, charreria, fiesta brava, jugada and palenque, as well as its agricultural, industrial and commercial exhibits.
