Governor attends the 4th Report of the Attorney General of the State of Guanajuato

“The Guanajuato Seguro Strategy is a coordinated effort between state forces, federal forces and municipal corporations. Here we work under a comprehensive approach and transversal attention to combat crime”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo at the 4th Report of the State Attorney General’s Office.
“The presentation of this Report is an exercise in accountability, an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of its members to society. A commitment to combat crime and impunity”, said the Governor.
“In this report, I endorse the commitment that we have in the State, to guarantee peace and social calm,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Resources for Security in 2023:
- 11.30% of the total State budget, in programs and actions for security and justice
- More than 12 thousand 864 million pesos
- For the State Attorney General’s Office:
- 4 thousand 139 million pesos
- For the Secretary of Public Security:
- 6 thousand 481 million pesos
- For the Judiciary:
- 2 thousand 244 million pesos
The Governor noted that for this year 2023, “we are investing 11.30% of the total State budget, in programs and actions for security and justice. A total investment of more than 12 thousand 864 million pesos for these areas”.
The governor added that for the State Attorney General’s Office, this year a budget of 4 thousand 139 million pesos is programmed. For the Secretary of Public Security there is a budget of 6 thousand 481 million pesos.
The Governor also said that for the Judiciary, in charge of imparting agile, prompt and expeditious justice, there is a budget of 2 thousand 244 million pesos, said the Governor.
This way, Guanajuato reflects in the State budget the commitment with security and justice, strengthening the institutions in charge of serving them, said Rodriguez Vallejo. “In Guanajuato, the State has a great commitment to guarantee peace and social calm”, said the Governor.
After giving his activity report, the State Attorney General, Carlos Zamarripa Aguirre, recognized the support that the State Government has provided to strengthen the various areas that make up the Attorney General’s Office in its work of investigating and prosecuting crime.
This ceremony was attended by the presidents of the Legislative and Judicial Branch, as well as legislators, authorities from the three levels of government, representatives of the private sector, and non-governmental organigzations.
