The Guanajuato Tourism Secretary -SECTUR- creates alliances with important commercial partners in order to promote and increase visits of tourists to the State.
In the 48th edition of the Mexico Tourist Tianguis in Acapulco, Guerrero, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, signed collaboration agreements with presidents and directors of:
- Expedia Group, ETN Turistar, National Council for the Exportation of Tourist Services, AC (CONEXSTUR), Capital Bus, PriceTravel, Planet IFE (Avianca, Volaris, VivaAerobus), Mexitours and CBX (Cross Border Express)
All of these partners will perform promotion and marketing campaigns for the Guanajuato tourism brand and, thus, ensure tourism growth in hospitality, experiences and activities offered by Guanajuato.
In these destinations, said Alvarez, “you will find a great experience and a committed and trained tourism sector. Our Tourist Observatory of the State of Guanajuato -OTEG- is a great recipient of all the information that you (associates) generate, because that allows us to create scenarios for the future and take necessary actions to continue living great stories”.
During the signing event Alvarez Brunel noted that “Guanajuato has grown significantly. Currently, tourism is one of the four pillars of the economy of Guanajuato and with these alliances we will continue to expose the diversity of the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, all our destinations have particularities and vocations”.
In these signing ceremonies the partners’ objectives were highlighted.
The Secretary of Tourism gave the news that Volaris –ultra-low-cost airline with flights in Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador– reactivates flights from Mazatlan, Tuxtla Gutierrez and Hermosillo to Guanajuato .
“All of you help us sell the destination nationally and internationally. With this pact we generate concrete sales in Guanajuato, which has a great tourist offer such as:
- Two World Heritage Cities
- Six Magical Towns
- Five Archaeological Zones
- Tourism experiences nature and adventure, wine, distillates, romance, MICE, sports, culture, gastronomy, and wellness
In this celebration, the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato and the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism Mexico -CONCANACO SERVYTUR- also celebrated a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the tourism sector.
The goal is to establish, in common agreement, bases and procedures for collaboration in order to foster competitiveness and promote the good side of Tourism in Mexico, through the promotion of tourist destinations that encourage visitors to travel to those places with the purpose of strengthening the sector they now represent.
Also during this agreement, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel and Octavio de la Torre Steffano, President of Concanaco Servytur, agreed -to begin with- to collaborate on projects to promote tourism in Guanajuato and extend it with the 257 Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism, and work together with the Chambers that are located in Guanajuato.
