On the State Mindmaking Day, the Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, signed the Declaration of Entrepreneurship and Adherence to the Global Honor Entrepreneurship Society UNIDO (United Nations for Industrial Development Organization).
First in Mexico
Guanajuato, said Rodriguez Vallejo, is the first state in Mexico to adhere to the UNIDO programs, with a commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation, with public policies to promote the economic and social development of Guanajuato families, because they are 2 keys that open the doors to progress.
“Our commitment in Guanajuato is to continue betting on mind-making, innovation, industry 4.0 and sustainable development. I especially want to refer to the Mentefacturalo Fund, of 100 million pesos to promote entrepreneurship”, said the Governor.
Of high-impact
“In its first phase, last year, a fund of 50 million pesos was awarded in support of more than 140 projects and initiatives, benefiting people and institutions in 13 municipalities. This fund is to promote high-impact science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship projects,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
They are projects in the areas of energy, environment, nanotechnology, optics, health and biotechnology, among others and within the framework of the State Day of Mentefactura, the second phase of the Mentefacturalo Fund is open until June, in support of more entrepreneurs , companies and researchers.
2030 Agenda
The Governor highlighted the strategic alliance with UNIDO, to promote an enterprise that is responsible with the Sustainable Development objectives of the 2030 Agenda; a global organization with the greatest social impact and the most recognized in Europe, it has operations all over the world with entrepreneurs who seek to be factors of change towards sustainable development.
“We are not only talking about great entrepreneurs, but also about social entrepreneurship to generate jobs and promote the empowerment of women and vulnerable groups, giving them the necessary tools to create and develop their sources of work”, said the Governor.
Pioneering platform
“With this areement UNIDO will support this public policy of the Government of Guanajuato and will make several tools available to it; among them, 1 Million Startups which is a pioneering global platform in support of startups and innovative business ideas, in order to use all their potential”, he said.
Currently, UNIDO supports more than 700 start-ups from 65 countries, thus contributing to social and economic development, creating a network of stakeholders such as entrepreneurs and investors of all kinds.
Innovative spirit
“Entrepreneurship is also a positive alternative to reduce the inequality gap and thus achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. For this reason, we want to awaken among our young people and among companies, especially the micro, small and medium-sized ones, the innovative spirit that changes lives and environments”.
Development
“Entrepreneurship creates new ways of seeing the world, that is why in Guanajuato we are moving from manufacturing to Mindfacture; we want to promote sustainable development, science, technology, knowledge, entrepreneurship and innovation”, he highlighted.
Global competition
“Today we gladly join this Declaration of Entrepreneurship and adhere to this world organization, because in Guanajuato we know that today the competition is global. It is not between states, often not between countries, but between regions of the planet”, noted the Governor of Guanajuato.
