Eleven companies with the Marca Guanajuato emblem participated in the 4th SME Business Challenge to strengthen their internationalization process towards the Texas Restaurant Show 2026, one of the most important gatherings of the restaurant and food service industry in North America.

This business challenge represents the final stage of the Export Without Borders program, a strategy promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, through the Secretary of Economy and COFOCE to strengthen the capabilities, competitiveness and commercial readiness of Guanajuatense companies.

During this session, the companies presented their products, business models and commercial strategies to a panel of specialists in marketing, export, innovation and business development, who presented recommendations to strengthen their value proposition and enhance their opportunities for success in international markets.

The participating companies will represent Guanajuato at the Texas Restaurant Show, which will be held from July 11 to 13 in San Antonio, Texas, where they will be able to establish business links, identify industry trends and explore new business opportunities.
Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, said that business preparation is a fundamental element for SMEs to take advantage of the opportunities offered by international trade.

“International opportunities are not built solely on good products; they are built on companies that learn, transform, and are willing to go further. Every step of preparation strengthens their ability to compete, grow, and open new paths for Guanajuato in the world,” said Villasenor.
The participating companies have received specialized training on key topics for their internationalization, including international promotion strategies, business tools, preparation for business meetings and strengthening their value propositions.

“Today we see extraordinary companies. Family businesses with decades of history. Companies that represent Guanajuato’s culinary tradition. We see companies from Yuriria, Salamanca, Celaya, Apaseo el Grande, Dolores Hidalgo, Irapuato, and Leon demonstrating that Guanajuato’s talent can compete in any market. And that is precisely what we at COFOCE are seeking: for more companies to dare to take the next step. For more SMEs to discover that they can indeed export,” said Luis Vargas Zavala, General Director of COFOCE.

In the 4th edition, eleven Guanajuatense companies are participating, representing the talent, innovation and productive capacity of the state:
- Los Rojas, Tostadas Fanny, La Tradicional de Salgado, Nature In, Productos Rolinjers, Proteymar, Tashi, Tika Corazon, La Gacela Uniformes and Borsse, all of them distinguished with the Marca Guanajuato emblem

The Texas Restaurant Show represents a strategic platform to promote Guanajuato products, generate business contacts, and strengthen the presence of companies from Guanajuato in one of the most important markets in North America.
