Guanajuato celebrates 200 years of Freedom and Sovereignty with the Superior Draw 2790 of the National Lottery for Public Assistance, where the Grand Prize was 17 million pesos.
In each ‘cachito’ of the National Lottery series, the images of four illustrious Guanajuatenses who with their careers exalted Guanajuato were captured.
“This distinction allows us to take these images with which we share the identity and pride of being Guanajuatense to all corners of the territory of Mexico”, said the Diego Sinhue Rodriguez VallejoGovernor.
The bills feature Leonese Maria Grever, the first Mexican composer to transcend internationally, soprano, author of more than 800 songs, orchestra director and businesswoman.
Diego Rivera, the Guanajuato muralist who identified with the ideals of change of the Mexican Revolution, with his work in painting and art captured scenes that integrated social criticism and is considered one of the greatest exponents of Mexican muralism.
Adriana Lamar from Celaya, one of the country’s great actresses and singers in the 1930s and 1940s, who filmed 35 films, including “La Llorona,” “Sagrario,” “El Vuelo de la Muerte” and “Los Olvidados de Dios”.
José Alfredo Jiménez, composer, singer and actor born in Dolores Hidalgo, who with his musical pieces continues to be in the lives of Mexicans with songs like “Caminos de Guanajuato” and “El Rey”.
“The commemoration of the 200 years of the appearance of Guanajuato as a Free and Sovereign state is one more reason to exalt the greatness of our state, which has been built, with the efforts of its men and women,” said the Governor.
For this reason, said Rodriguez Vallejo, Guanajuato is the protagonist of the history and present of our country by establishing the foundations of independent Mexico, of the Mexico of institutions and federalism.
But it also exalts the pride of Guanajuato residents for their roots, culture, gastronomy, art, music, traditions, innovation and of course the history of Guanajuato that distinguishes it in Mexico and the world, said the Governor.
The Superior Draw 2790 had 51 million pesos in prizes: the Grand Prize was 17 million pesos with ticket 42251, on sale in electronic media.
The second prize was one million 440 thousand pesos with ticket 22304, the first series was on sale in Guadalajara, Jalisco, while the second series was on sale in Hermosillo, Sonora. Numbers 1 and 4 were for refunds.
“There are two hundred years of a form of government in the country that have allowed us to advance and see a horizon, with increasing progress, where the balance and division of powers are features that in Mexico have been maintained”, said the General Director of the National Lottery, Marco Antonio Mena Rodriguez.
