“Never before in Guanajuato has the countryside been supported as we are doing in this government; this year we have one thousand three hundred million pesos for the fields of Guanajuato”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor was at the inauguration of the 24 Ocampo Regional Livestock Expo 2023, where support was also provided to agricultural and livestock producers in the region.
“A strong, productive and competitive field begins with strong families, well fed and with all the tools to get ahead”, said the Governor.
“Our government’s commitment is to continue supporting the people of our countryside, especially in this critical dry season,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor said that the State Government offers support to livestock in Guanajuato to position it as one of the most important in the country due to its genetic quality.
In Mexico, Guanajuato is:
- 5th producer of bovine milk
- 2nd in goat milk
- 6th in pork meat
- 6th in egg production and chicken meat
- 43% of the state area is dedicated to livestock activities
In recent years the productivity and profitability of livestock production units have improved through genetic improvement.
The Governor provided support from the My Sustainable and Productive Family program for an amount of 1.17 million pesos.
Ocampo ranchers will be given 300 bales of corn stubble, approximately 450 kilos each, with a total cost of 135 thousand pesos.
For this Expo, 333 thousand 585 pesos were invested, of which the State Government, through the Ministry of Agro-Food and Rural Development –SDAyR- contributed 265 thousand 644 pesos, while the Municipality contributed 67 thousand 941 pesos.
The Expo is held from June 23 to 25 and they expect the participation of 500 cattle producers, the commercialization of cattle heads and the participation of commercial houses with the exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment.
Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, participated in the Second Ocampense Migrant Reunion, where migrants can rediscover their native identity.
In this event, an Urban Art Festival was held with murals on the facades of buildings located from Hidalgo to Negrete streets, with the theme “The Walls also tell stories” with artists from Jalisco, Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Mexico City, Michoacan, Queretaro, the State of Mexico and Guanajuato participating in this exhibition, to whom the Governor gave recognitions.
