Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the inauguration of the regional administrative offices RSO (Regional Sinergy Office) of Kasai Mexicana, a company of Japanese origin dedicated to the manufacturing of plastic auto parts.
“As a Guanajuato native and as Governor, I feel very proud that a world-class Japanese company such as Kasai Mexicana has found in our State the ideal platform to take root, grow and continue conquering markets”, said the Governor.
“This has been beneficial for Guanajuato, as it has meant an economic benefit and the creation of jobs, as well as development for the region and prosperity for families,” said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
Kasai is a company, of Japanese origin, specialized in the design, manufacture and assembly of plastic parts (door interior, trunk interior, visors and vehicle roof), with strong competitiveness as a global supplier of interior auto parts.
Kasai arrived in Leon in May 1997, now with more than 27 years of experience in Mexico, this is the fourth project that this company develops in the region, consolidating its commitment to local economic development.
With the inauguration of these administrative offices the projection is to generate 100 new jobs in addition to the 2,600 jobs already generated by Kasai in the region.
The opening of these new offices in Plaza Mulza in Leon strengthens the capacity of Kasai to continue innovating and expanding in the plastic auto parts market; furthermore, it aims to alleviate the administrative burden of KASAI in the United States of America.
Currently Kasai’s main customers are Nissan, Honda and Mazda. Worldwide it has more than 20 plants in 9 countries in America, Europe and Asia.
Kasai Mexicana processes around 12 thousand tons of plastic injection per year, mainly in polypropylene; of its total production, around 12 percent is exported directly and just over 50 percent through assembly companies.
“The opening of these offices is an obvious sign of their trust in Guanajuato and today, Guanajuato is a brand of great value that generates trust and certainty. It is no coincidence that so far in our Administration we have attracted 165 investment projects, for just over 9.5 billion dollars that are generating more than 65,900 jobs”, said the Governor.
Present at this event were Masahiko Minami, President of KASAI; Cristopher Tumbow, Director of KASAI’s Regional Synergy Office; Ramon Alfaro Gomez, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development; and Guillermo Romero Pacheco, Secretary for the Economic Reactivation of Leon; also collaborators and representatives of the commercial plaza where these offices are located.
