Governor delivers support with financing

The State Government allocates another 40 million pesos to boost the productivity of the footwear industry

Through Guanajuato Funds, more than 10 million pesos are provided to merchants and businessmen of Leon and Irapuato

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the ceremony to launch the second stage of the Promotion Plan for the Competitiveness and Productivity of the Footwear Sector in Guanajuato.

This is a Plan that, two months after being launched, has given great results, especially in protecting the jobs of Guanajuatense families.

Besides, the results confirm that when visions are shared and teamwork is done, the benefits are multiplied, said the Governor.

Benefitted in the first stage:

• 182 companies
• With an amount of 40 million
• 10,485 jobs were protected, which was one of the initial objectives

Rodríguez Vallejo said that for the second stage, the State Government, has arranged a new fund for 40 million pesos.

With this resource, another 100 companies will be supported to acquire raw materials and thereby protect more than 10,500 jobs.

The announcement was made at the Calzado Vertical shoe company, for which the Governor thanked the words and welcome of Alberto Moreno Sanchez, director of Calzado Vertical, which has more than 20 years of experience in the shoe industry, and stands out for innovation and excellence in manufacturing processes.

The Governor also recognized the Footwear Chamber for its efforts and willingness to work on strategies and actions that have a direct and positive impact in favor of the industry and workers.

“We will continue working together to strengthen this industry, which is one of the pillars of the economic and social development of Guanajuato”, said the Governor.

The Governor led the delivery of financing for the strengthening of Micro, Small and Medium companies (MSMEs) to merchants members of unions or associations of merchants and businessmen in the primary sector of Leon and Irapuato

“Today I am very pleased to come to deliver these financing support from Guanajuato Funds to merchants affiliated with Unions and Associations, as well as to small businesses in the primary sector of Leon and Irapuato. There are 77 checks for a global amount of 10 million 46 thousand pesos”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.

The Governor explained that there are:

• 12 beneficiaries of the Economy Promotion Program
• 2 beneficiaries of the Primary Sector Financing Program
• 63 beneficiaries of the Minor Credit Program

Financing granted through Guanajuato Funds in the State Administration:

• 27,403 credits have been delivered, as of May of 2024
• For $3,255 million pesos
• More than 3 thousand micro, small and medium-sized companies, from all sectors, have been supported
• In the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato
