Governor calls on businessmen to work united

“This chamber reflects a great commitment of vision, to where Guanajuato should go; we must raise our hands to participate, that is why I am calling you to work together; I am certain that together, we will build the route for Guanajuato”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, during a reunion with the Confederated Chambers of Concanaco-Servytur of the Bajio Occidental Region.

“Today I want to tell you that you have a Governor who is an ally and friend; I must tell my Cabinet colleagues that you should feel very fortunate because in this government it is a time of women”, said the Governor.

Libia urged her Cabinet to honor the motto ‘Government of the People’ and to link their work with society; she said that current challenges require showing that women’s leadership is transformative and assumes a different vision.

The challenges are many, said Libia, and with allies such as Canaco-Sertvytur, there will be greater efficiency in designing and implementing growth strategies, such as supporting entrepreneurial projects focused on innovation; support and incentives for traditional or more vulnerable sectors, such as artisans and merchants.

Training and advisory programs will be promoted for SMEs, as well as a connection platform between local and global companies to integrate them into the supplier network.

The incorporation of more women into the formal economy will be promoted; a program will be launched to simplify procedures where digital technology is essential and thus a comprehensive strategy of regulatory improvement will be achieved to make Guanajuato Digital.

With the “Tu Puede Guanajuato” financial institution, credit support will be provided to guarantee financing for SMEs in Guanajuato.

Support will be provided to producers from traditional sectors, with micro and small businesses, as well as other sectors of the future such as startups, marketing companies and logistics companies, among other.

To strengthen the tourism sector, Libia stressed that the revenue from the Lodging Tax will be invested in promoting tourism projects, in addition to promoting Community Tourism and Ecotourism involving local communities.

“We, the presidents of the Canaco, will do everything that is possible to ensure that you are the best Governor in Mexico, because if we do a good job, there will be great opportunities for all sectors. We are going to work with you, we are going to support you, and it is a commitment of all of us”, said Octavio De la Torre de Stffano, National President of Concanaco.
