As the OSUG concert season begins they sign a collaboration agreement by the Secretary of Culture and UG

In order to promote and disseminate artistic and cultural expressions, the signing of the collaboration agreement by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the People and the University of Guanajuato was carried out.
“What better setting than our majestic Juarez Theater to seal the union between the University of Guanajuato and the Government of the People. This admired architectural jewel, of which we are very proud, bears witness today to this collaboration agreement to work together in favor of culture,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
“And what a wonderful occasion it is, that it is the start of the concert season of the University of Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, the pride of our State and our Country,” she said.
“Our congratulations to all the members of the Orchestra who have brought the name of Guanajuato to many stages in Mexico and around the world. Congratulations. I wish you great success this season,” said Libia Dennise.
The Governor said that in this New Beginning with the Government of the People, “we want everyone to have access to culture, because we believe in its value. It is one of the best ways to bring development and social cohesion to all corners of our state.”
“So much so that from the first day of our government, we elevated the State Institute of Culture to a Secretary. We did this to ensure that all Guanajuatenses can exercise their right to participate in the cultural life of the State and access a diverse and quality cultural offering,” the Governor said.
For this reason, work is being strengthened and links are being fostered to create synergies that promote creativity, innovation and excellence in cultural production and dissemination. And in this task, our Highest University, throughout its history, has been an endless source of talent and culture, of knowledge and innovation, said Libia Dennise.
“We are very pleased to strengthen these bonds of friendship by the Government of the People and our beloved University of Guanajuato,” said Libia.
Libia Dennise explained that this agreement seeks to promote and disseminate artistic and cultural expressions, to support artistic creation and development, and to promote universal access to culture.
We also work to promote education and research in the artistic and cultural field, and coordinate actions to preserve and promote cultural heritage and diversity, said the Governor.
“This agreement will benefit both the university community and all the Guanajuatenses. Through art and in the spaces where culture is expressed, we find what identifies us and unites us,” said Libia Dennise.
