The Mexican Gastronomic Culinary Guide recognized five restaurants in Guanajuato for their exquisite gastronomy and for providing culinary experiences that are worth remembering.

Oaxaca hosted the eleventh edition of the Mexico Gastronomic Guide 2025, an event that celebrated the country’s diversity and culinary talent by awarding the 250 best restaurants in Mexico. This year, the list included restaurants from all 32 states for the first time, recognizing the gastronomic richness of every corner of Mexico.

Lupita Robles Leon, Secretary of Tourism and Identity, recognized the efforts of the restaurants, since the commitment to the sector fits with the instructions of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, who commissioned the implementation of comprehensive and participatory public policies that strengthen the competitiveness of the tourism value chain of Guanajuato, through programs that increase investment in human capital and strategic knowledge, translated into a better quality of life.

Today, Guanajuato offers a great variety of quality tourist products and services, but they can and should be updated and modernized according to the new consumption trends of tourists at national and international level.

The dishes on the menu are described as flexible, resistant and full of tones, as they combine ancestral techniques with innovative proposals, achieving balance. The restaurants stand out for their spaces that respect tradition and, at the same time, explore new forms of culinary expression.

This editorial project is carried out in collaboration with the brands S. Pellegrino and Nespresso, and in the 2025 edition, present restaurants of traditional Mexican cuisine, avant-garde cuisine and international cuisine, arranged alphabetically. The physical document is published by Larousse Cuisine and presented by Audi.

The award-winning restaurants were selected by a Voting Council, made up of more than 60 food journalists, content creators, sommeliers and lovers of the national gastronomic treasure. They all took on the task, for a year, of visiting the places with new culinary proposals.

Each review includes detailed information about the type of cuisine, the location, the restaurant’s history, the chef in charge, dish recommendations and contact information.
