Ferrero de México and the Secretary of Education of the State of Guanajuato will continue the collaboration agreement for the training and qualification of 200 additional physical education teachers in the Joy of Moving Methodology, focused on promoting the comprehensive development of girls and boys through play and collaboration, which has been a public policy in Guanajuato for three years.
Ferrero will deliver 200 sports materials for the implementation of the program that will remain in the custody of the schools, as well as 200 game guide kits that will guide the benefited teachers in the different games of the program.
With this addition to the agreement, the program will reach 1,051 trained educators and more than 300 thousand benefited students in 800 schools that include this methodology in their curriculum, which represents 20% of the total primary schools in Guanajuato.
At the moment, the program has an investment of more than 16 million pesos, for training and materials for basic education teachers in Guanajuato during the periods 2021 to 2024.
“The Program has been successfully implemented, since 2021 in Mexico. Guanajuato was the first State to apply the international social responsibility project that has inspired millions of girls, boys and their families in the world”, said the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza.
“The Guanajuato Secretary of Education has positioned itself as a global benchmark for its contributions to the program. An example of this is the development of an application on the institutional platform presented in the 2022-2023 school year to capture information on progress metrics of our students. We are very happy because we have a first-class program that is proven in many other countries”, said Hernandez Meza.
The agreement was endorsed in the city of Alba, Italy, within the framework of the certification ceremony of 9 Joy of Moving Super Trainners, who received intensive training in the methodology.
