One of the levers of development in Guanajuato is education, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, upon welcoming the ninth generation of young Guanajuatenses beneficiaries of the Leaders of Tomorrow program.

Leaders of Tomorrow is a social mobility program to train talented and sensitive leaders who positively impact the community, and who require 100% financial support to study at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey.

The program is aimed at students up to 22 years old with outstanding social leadership and execution skills who require support to study at this school. These young people must be entrepreneurs with initiatives that materialize in projects of social leadership and community development.

The Governor recognized the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Leon, for being an important part of the development of Guanajuato in the last 30 years, in addition to being the promoter of programs that benefit the academic growth of youth as Leaders of Tomorrow.

Rodriguez vallejo added that the State Government supports this program because we believe in the talent, ability and leadership of our young people.

The program from 2014 to date:

66 Guanajuatenses benefited
From 26 municipalities in Guanajuato
13 are Leaders of Tomorrow students with the Greatness of Guanajuato distinction
This is the ninth generation
11 young people
6 men
5 women
9 million pesos provided by the State Government

The Governor insisted that his administration will continue betting on programs and actions that have the purpose of improving the academic level of children and youth.

Rector Emeritus of the Tecnologico de Monterrey, David Noel Ramirez Padilla, recognized the Governor’s work in supporting education. Proof of this is that Guanajuato is the State in Mexico that contributes the most resources to the Leaders of Tomorrow program.
