A security and surveillance operation is enforced for the celebration of the Day of the Dead
The SSPE, in coordination with local forces of the 46 municipalities will maintain order in 326 cemeteries in Guanajuato

In order to maintain order and safeguard the physical integrity of the people who go to the pantheons in the entity, the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE) will implement in coordination with the 46 municipalities of the state, a security and surveillance operation on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Dead.
The operational deployment will take place on November 1 and 2 in 326 pantheons of the entity and will have a state of force made up of 20,022 security elements, civil protection, emergency corps and support groups.
In addition, they will have the support of 1,215 vehicles including patrols, first response units, motorcycles, tow trucks, ambulances, motorized pumps, scale trucks, tankers, and rescue units.
Also it will have the support of helicopters equipped with video surveillance technology, in order to complement ground-air operations.
The SSPE, through the different divisions of the State Public Security Forces, performs support and surveillance tasks with local corporations, in the facilities and perimeters of the pantheons.
Meanwhile the State Civil Protection Coordination will do the same together with the municipal civil protection units, the Emergency System of the State of Guanajuato, the Red Cross delegations and the Fire Departments.
To improve the security and safety conditions of the people who visit the cemeteries, electrical and LP gas installations will be inspected at street stalls; and emergency medical services and transportation will be provided if necessary.
