In order to promote social responsibility in private companies, the Government of the State of Guanajuato invites local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to obtain the ‘ Socially Responsible Company emblem (ESR).
The commitment of the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, is to work in coordination with the economic units in operation in Guanajuato, to promote the generation and creation of jobs, in addition to making them more competitive and profitable.
The head of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), Ramon Alfaro Gomez explained that this certification granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) through the State Government, allows companies to add value through actions that put people who work for them first.
Businessmen and businesswomen from all over the state who wish to obtain the ESR emblem are invited to approach the Irapuato Business Coordinating Council (CCEI) to begin the accreditation process towards a better culture of social responsibility.
With this action, the economic units become an agent of change to transform their policies, improve the work environment, bet on the well-being of their collaborators, streamline processes and promote care for the environment.
By putting the values for human development above profits lets companies mitigate limitations such as staff turnover, work accidents and internal conflicts; As a consequence, competitiveness, profitability, productivity, identity, pride of belonging and a better public image are increased.
In addition to exercising internal responsibility, the companies work collaboratively on projects for the benefit of their communities and new business opportunities with other similar companies that share the same values; therefore, in the long term, the benefit is also reflected in the economic sphere.
