Organizers and Authorities invite everyone to enjoy this Sunday July 21st the ancient and basic gastronomy in Purisima del Rincon in the sixth edition of the ‘A Thousand Flavors in Purisima’ in an event that will be safe for all

The sixth edition of the Thousand Flavors in Purisima will be held this Sunday July 21st, and it is presented as an all-inclusive event where everyone is welcome, children up to adults and elders are welcome in a family environment and with a guarantee of a safe and secure event.
Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima and Francisco Javier Valverde Polin, State General Director of Planning and Tourism, led the press conference to inform about the program of A Thousand Flavors in Purisima where there will be 63 stands offering products and services in the main square of Purisima del Rincon.
There will be 4 stands where elders will offer their services and where they are working to earn an income supported by groups of adults that work with the local DIF. Also, for those who are handicapped, Authorities will make sure that the entrances for them are completely free to enter the Main Square.
This event is an edition of traditional gastronomy, said Garcia Urbano, who said that families are invited to come together for kids to feel that they are part of the activity, and for children there will be different workshops, comics, French dough and cardboard figures and the manufacture of personalized piggy banks.
A thousand Flavors in Purisima is a 100% family event and even though there will be sale of alcoholic beverages, this is intended to be with the consumption of food and observing a good public conduct, and there will be agents to make sure everything is done with due respect for all.
Mayor of Purisima said that the 63 participating sellers are divided as follows:
- 23 offer gastronomy (gorditas, enchiladas, shakes, oven gorditas, quince sweets and other)
- 8 offer beverages
- 14 offer desserts
- 18 offer artisans products
In this edition there will be guest municipalities that present their gastronomy like:
- Dolores Hidalgo with ice cream
- Leon with sweets
- San Francisco del Rincon with pambazos
- Acambaro with desserts
- Santiago Maravatio with chocolate
- Comonfort offering its molcajetes
Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano invited all those who already know this event to return to Purisima and those who still have not visited to come and enjoy the event.
Valverde Polin said that Purisima del Rincon is a city that from the entrance looks clean and invites to come into the city, and this event just like previous events are inviting more people to come and know where the best flavors are promoting the ancestral cooking techniques.
Jose Roberto Camargo Perez, local Director of Tourism said that for those who decide to stay in the city there are 80 rooms for rent, distributed in Purisima, Canada de Negros and Jalpa de Canovas.
Camargo said that mostly Purisima receives visitors from Leon, San Francisco del Rincon, Celaya, Jalisco and Michoacan.
This time the Hermenegildo Bustos Museum takes part in the activities to promote its attractions, there is an athletic race in Jalpa de Canovas and the giant Judea masks will be on display next to the Purisima Concepcion.
