With the aim of strengthening the competitiveness and international vision of Guanajuatense companies, the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE) is promoting Voz Global, as a space for analysis, updating and strategic training for the business sector of the State.

Through free webinars via Zoom and available for playback on COFOCE’s official YouTube channel, Voz Global brings key information to the business community on global trends, international trade, digitalization, regulatory compliance, among other topics of interest.

This initiative aligns with the vision of Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo and the People’s Government, which promotes a more competitive, sustainable economy prepared for the challenges of the international environment.

In recent days, COFOCE conducted three strategic webinars:
- ESG: The New Language of International Business. This session addressed how ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria have gone from being voluntary to becoming a requirement of the global market. It analyzed the turning point in Mexico following the Paris Agreement and the integration of sustainability into the financial and regulatory system.
- Students learned about the legal, financial, and strategic implications of ESG compliance.
- Build your online store from scratch. Focused on the digital transformation of businesses in the Bajio region, this webinar offered practical tools to create an online store and develop an omnichannel sales strategy.
- Topics discussed included the difference between an online store and a marketplace, Mexican consumer behavior, and the challenges SMEs face when relying solely on social media.
- Reconfiguration of international trade. This section analyzed the structural changes in world trade, the balance of power, and their implications for Mexico and North America.
- Topics reviewed included the joint review of the USMCA, discussions on rules of origin, economic security, critical minerals and labor obligations, as well as the recent amendments to the Customs Law and the General Import and Export Tax Law.

Access to these webinars is open to the business community. All three webinars are free and were broadcast via Zoom. They are currently available for viewing and playback on COFOCE’s official YouTube channel, allowing business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals to access this strategic information whenever they need it.

With initiatives like Global Voice, COFOCE and the People’s Government reaffirm the commitment to support Guanajuatense companies in their internationalization process.
