Agro-food companies from municipalities such as San Francisco del Rincon, Celaya, and Dolores Hidalgo participated in the first webinar “Flavors That Cross Borders,” a COFOCE initiative that is taking free export training to all regions of Guanajuato
Silao/Gto News
In order to strengthen the export capacities of micro, small and medium-sized companies in the agro-food sector in Guanajuato, the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE), through the Global Voice project, began a series of free webinars under the title “Flavors that Cross Borders.”

The first of these virtual meetings was held on Tuesday July 29th, with the participation of more than 150 MSMEs from various municipalities such as San Francisco del Rincon, Celaya, Apaseo el Alto, Dolores Hidalgo, and San Luis de la Paz, among other.

During this first webinar, companies learned the key steps for exporting products of the agro-food sector, including fresh, frozen, beverage, and processed products, as well as international market trends and requirements.
Export knowledge for all
The initiative responds to the commitment of keeping MSMEs in the State up-to-date, providing them with access to first-hand information and tools for their internationalization.

Furthermore, the free, digital meetings reach companies located in areas such as the Northwest and Northeast of Guanajuato, which typically face greater barriers to access this type of specialized training.
These webinars align with Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo’s vision of bringing opportunities to all corners of Guanajuato and strengthening inclusive and territorially balanced economic development.

The second program of “Flavors That Transcend Borders” will take place:
- On August 5th at 10:00 am
- Via Zoom and COFOCE ‘s official social media channels
- Registration is free and open to businesses in Guanajuato
