The 5th Edition of the “Purisima Gastronomic Show of a Thousand Flavors” will take place on July 16, with the presence of traditional cooks and artisans.
In representation of Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, Frida Huett Lopez, Director of Tourist Products, and Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima del Rincon; Alejandra Reynoso, Senator of the Republic; and Janet Melanie Murillo Chavez, local representative and President of the Tourism Commission of the State Chamber; gave the details of this event supported by SECTUR.
On the plaza in front of the City Hall of Purisima del Rincon, from 12:00 to 20:00, attendees will be able to taste the most representative dishes of the municipality such like:
- Enchiladas with cecina, flour gorditas, walnut mole, pizzas and pastas, sea and land, traditional shaved ice, flavored atole
Cooks will offer typical food from:
- San Luis de la Paz, Salvatierra, Celaya, Romita, Abasolo, and Manuel Doblado
“These gastronomic samples show that Guanajuato Si Sabe. Traditional cooks show us that flavor and seasoning are a great gift, these hands not only pamper us, but also feed the spirit because the recipes that you will have the opportunity to try have been passed down from generation to generation”, said Frida Huett.
In this Traditional Cuisine Fair -with free admission- of the flavors of Purisima del Rincon, a place widely recognized for its Gastronomic Heritage, there will also be an exhibition of handicrafts, cultural wealth and artistic talents.
The craft products that will be found are:
- Braniff, liqueurs and sweets; Judean mask carving; Heart of Jalpa, handicrafts; Okara, handmade soaps; Ice Cream Don Tono; Pelusarte, French pasta; Bom bom life, artisan cheeses; Joeyland, souvenirs; La Buena Nuez, typical sweets; and The pride of my people, quince ate
The SECTUR promotes and preserves the gastronomy that the City of Limas and the Thousand Orange Blossoms keeps, and with this, the local trade of traditional cooks and businesses throughout the municipality are promoted.
Mayor Roberto Garcia said that the last 4 editions have been a complete success; in the last edition, an influx of 10,000 attendees was registered, they consumed and purchased typical dishes and products from 54 exhibitors.
Purisima del Rincon offers 14 hotels with 116 rooms, ample parking and the service of the tour operator Jalpa de Canovas Operadora Turistica Xalpa, with whom you can discover the tourist attractions of the city.
