In order to give tribute and honor the memory of the “Son of the Village”, the Singer and composer of ranchera music, Jose Alfredo Jimenez on the 47th anniversary of the death of the artista, it will be held this year on the 11th edition of the International Festival Jose Alfredo Jimenez, in a digital format.

More attractions in Dolores Hidalgo

This event has diversified the tourist offer of Dolores Hidalgo Cradle of the National Independence, through a product with tourist potential that offers the promotion and preservation of traditions and generating economic, tourist and social benefits, said in a press conference, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato.

During 4 days, from the 20th to the 23rd of November, this Festival will virtually reunite people from all the State, the Country and the World, who will sing “loudly the songs of the Dolorense singer and composer and with this event honor a great member of the Mexican music”, said Jose Alfredo Jimenez Galvez.

Virtual tours of the city

In this 11th edition, the Festival will “feed” the digital experience with virtual tours to the most emblematic places in Dolores Hidalgo and of course for the festival, like: Museo Casa Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Museo Bicentenario, Museo del vino, Museo Hidalgo, Parroquia de Dolores Hidalgo and the Historical Center.

Digitalization and internationalization

“The digitalization will go hand in hand with the internationalization and with the possibility to show that in Guanajuato we Live Great Stories that have united us “in the last shot, for the Seven Seas, in a strange world” and that the soundtrack that goes with those stories has a name and a last name, Jose Alfredo Jimenez”, noted Alvarez Brunel.
