Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, in his work tour in Iceland, visited the Hellisheidi geothermal plant.
“I am in this ON (Power) plant that generates geothermal energy from hot springs”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“It is constantly generating 330 megawatts of energy and one of the most spectacular things is that it does not emit carbon dioxide; they do not emit any pollutant, they are injecting everything into the subsoil and it is wonderful”, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo noted that this is one of the most modern plants in the world and an example of how our own natural resources can be used to generate clean energy for the environment. “We are proud to be here and see how the world is advancing,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
