Secretary Libia Dennise Garcia Munos Ledo led the 3rd. Ordinary Session of the Governing Council of the Academic Observatory of Social and Human Development for the State of Guanajuato, where the progress of the established work plan was announced, in addition to reaching new agreements for the benefit of Guanajuatenses.
“You represent those who are the present and the future of our state, for us the vision in this Advisory Council, in this Academic Observatory, of what you see, of what you live, of how we can improve, is also very important to us. because it is precisely a conviction, it is the sum of collective work that we achieve results,” said the secretary.
The report on the actions and results of the different commissions that make up the Governing Council was in charge of the Executive Secretary of the Academic Committee, Sergio Ismael Ruiz Lopez, who stated that for the continuity of the work plan, the CONEVAL 2022 report as well as the results of the GTO Contigo Sí Strategy in the last year, in order to issue conclusions on the social policy implemented by the State Government.
Libia Dennise considered that the results indicate that they are on the right path, after the last CONEVAL report recorded “a sustained decrease in poverty in Guanajuato”.
“More than half a million Guanajuato residents left poverty behind, more than 77 thousand Guanajuato residents left extreme poverty, which is one of the most complex, more difficult due to what they lack; I believe that what we are shown is that we are on the right path, that we must not slow down, that there will always be a lot to do, and even more so when it comes to ensuring that the families of Guanajuato live better,” said Libia Dennise.
Libia recognized the work of women at the head of the different educational institutions, “hopefully we see more women coming to these spaces, they always have our support and the sisterhood that women continue to participate in the public life of Guanajuato”, said the Secretary.
