Spaniards choose Mexico to live experiences, and Guanajuato is one of their favorite destinations

Guanajuato promotes its tourist destinations, its products and events in the 43rd edition of the International Tourism Fair –FITUR, one of the main events in the tourism industry in the world and a fair that is a leader for Iberoamerican markets.
4th destination in Mexico
Guanajuato is the 4th destination in Mexico for Spaniards who stay in the country for 11 nights in average and choose to enjoy cultural, gastronomic, adventure and natural, romance and luxurious experiences; all these are strategic segments that are offered in Guanajuato and which are promoted by the Secretary of Tourism, with Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel as the leader.
Leisure and Business tourism
FITUR is a fair essentially focused in the leisure tourism, but clearly oriented to develop the business tourism segment, and with the Travel Fair ITB –in Berlin-, and World Travel Market –in London- is one of the three most important tourism fairs in the world and it certainly is the biggest in Europe.
Promotion of the State
At FITUR the secretary of tourism will present “Guanajuato: Vive Grandes Historias” with the main destinations of the State to the main tour operators, travel agencies and means of communication working along with Aeromexico.
What Guanajuato has to offer
The Secretary of Tourism wants to promote destinations, hotels, connectivity and main attractions in Guanajuato.
Attractions
Sectur will present a group of –mojigangas- and a mariachi from Guanajuato, it will also present a –callejoneada- at the Plaza Callao in Madrid.
There are gastronomy events, they will also present the State as a preferred destination of events with great infrastructure and its location in Mexico.
Connection
There are visits to wine cellars and poromotion of the Guanajuatense wine industry and there will be reunions with trade associates like: Catai, Avasa and Logitravel, Rosa Melchor, the President of the Spanish Association of Wine Cities; and Don Oscar Puente Santiago, the Mayor of Valladolid, Spain.
