Commissioner of IACIP presents the 18th report of activities

We should keep strengthening the practices of en Open Government and in this road there is no turning back, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo at the 18th Report of Activities of the Intitute of Access to Public Information in Guanajuato –IACIP-.

“I want to express again the commitment of the State of Guanajuato, to promote transparency, access to public information and protection of personal data; a commitment that is based in facts and results”, said the Governor.
IACIP is an institution that is a model in Mexico, it has consolidated as an organ that guarantees the fundamental rights, pillars of the integral development of Guanajuatenses, it is a promoter of the culture of transparency and actions that promote the open Government.
The right to know
The Governor congratulated the work and commitment of the President Commissioner of IACIP, Maria de los Angeles Ducoing Valdepena, and of those who work in this institute and who make Guanajuato be in the vanguard in promotion and enforcement of the right to know what Authorities are doing.
Diego Sinhue also recognized the work of Public Powers, Municipal Governments, Academic Institutions and civil organizations, who are also commited with a State that guarantees transparency.

Maria de los Angeles Ducoing, the President Commissioner said that at IACIP they have the information of obligations of transparency published and updated, also, she said, they guarantee that society has the technological tools to have that access to information.
“Transparency has evolved with IACIP. In this evolution we have adopted and guaranteed transparency for citizens and we have adopted new tools that help us strengthen our work”

Blanca Lilia Ibarra, the President Commissioner of the National Institute of Access to Information and President of the Council of the National Transparency System said that IACIP has shown with facts, its will to work for transparency for the benefit of Guanajuatenses and for other Mexican States because it has been an important actor in the national efforts that are adopted for transparency.
“Without transparency there is no democracy, and the participation of citizens is fundamental in pubic issues and for the social vigilance of the enforcement of Power”, said Ibarra.
