It all started in Dolores Hidalgo
The Governor reminded that on this day, 200 years ago, the Three Guarantees Army went triumphant into Mexico City. The fight that was started in 1810 in Dolores Hidalgo, finally achieved its goal: Proclaim the liberty of Mexicans.
“Now 200 years from that, the momories of these historical moments nourishes our love for our homeland and it strengthens our links of national unity”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Craddle of Independence
“In Guanajuato we started the great movement, and that is why we are the Craddle of National Independence”, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo said that from the determination and character of Guanajuatenses, surges the identity of the Mexican people.
For the common dreams
“These are people who, when they must face hard times, they unite and work as a team, because there is no obstacle that would stop us. People who know how to respond with energy and courage, when they need to fight for their common dreams”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Mexicans, just like 200 years ago, are still united and we work to defend our liberties, added Rodriguez Vallejo.
Defenders of Freedom
The Governor of Guanajuato noted that Guanajuatenses are and will be main characters in the history of our homeland. “Because we have a vocation to fulfill, as promoters and defenders of ideals of freedom and of democracy for Mexico”, said the Governor.
The Governor informed about the program of cultural, artistic, civic and historical events and of cultural exchange that has been celebrated during the year.

A legacy of greatness

Voice of Liberty
Just as it ocurred 200 hundred years ago “let’s keep making our Mexican hearts beat strong and let our voice of liberty reverberate all over the national territory. From Guanajuato we say out loud to all the world. ‘¡Viva Mexico!’”, exhorted the Governor.
