The Governor and the President work for Guanajuato

The President guarantees that Guanajuato will receive the resources that correspond to it on the Health Budget

Both mandataries go to the Sierra in the North East of the State to recognize Guanajuato for its achievments and the Federal Government for letting Guanajuato go on administering its local health system

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador praised the agreement reached with Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the Governor of Guanajuato, that let the State run its own Health System.

“An agreement was established with the State governments, in the case of Guanajuato it was agreed that the State will maintain the (local) Health services, that they should be responsible and guarantee that there is no lack of doctors, medicines, that the health service is of quality, that the attention and the medicines are free”, said the President.

“There is no problem, if the Government of Guanajuato did not adhere to the Federal health services, we are going to fulfill our obligations with the Government of Guanajuato, because we are going to transfer all the resources that lawfully correspond to them”, said the President.

Lopez Obrador announced that they will work with State authorities to build the road to Atarjea; another municipality of the North East of Guanajuato.

The State as administrator

Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, said that with the agreement reached with the President of Mexico, Guanajuato will work in a coordinated way with the INSABI and the State will maintain the administration of its own Health System.

“The State decided not to adhere to the INSABI, because we have a Health system that is one of the best rated in Mexico by the Federal authorities, and Guanajuato stands out for its coverage, medicines, infrastructure and quality of its medical attention”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.

“We achieved an agreement, Guanajuato will work in coordination with the INSABI and will keep the administratiomn of its Health system, just as we agreed President, thanks for trusting in us”, Rodriguez Vallejo told the President.

The Governor revealed the construction in Xichu of a hospital that will give service to the North East area.

Support from the Federal Government

Rodriguez Vallejo asked the President for support to build public works that improve the connectivity of tha municipalities in this area of the State.

“President don’t forget about Guanajuato, we need a lot of public Works, Comonfort also needs roads”, said Rodriguez Vallejo, who also asked the President for support to complete the road Silao-San Felipe, a road that links the center of Mexico with the North of the country and with the United States.

“We have a two lane road, there is a lot of traffic, a lot of freight trucks out to the United States, sadly it is the most dangerous road in the State and in the Country, President we ask for your support to increase its capacity, if we do it together we will be able to give more safety to all Guanajuatenses”, said the Governor.

Finally Rodriguez Vallejo insisted in his commitment to work in coordination with the Federal Government, “The federal programs are welcome in Guanajuato, our programs are not in competition with the Federal Government, we are eager to work as a team, this country has been divided for so many years, no more division, we should join efforts and work for our people, they are the ones who pay our salary”, noted the Governor.
