Following the Guanajuato SUMA strategy of Governor Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and aligned with the vision of the President of Mexico, at the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) we continue to strengthen Mexico’s presence in the main international spaces to consolidate tourism as one of the main levers of economic development and cooperation.

During the meeting, Guanajuato participated in:

- Mexico in Paris (September 16, 2026)

For three days, representatives of Mexican destinations, companies, and tourism service providers held meetings with authorities, airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, and specialized companies, to generate business opportunities, strengthening connectivity, and expanding the promotion of Mexican destinations in Europe.

Guanajuato’s presence at IFTM Top Resa allowed it to showcase to European tourism professionals an offer built on the identity, history, gastronomy, culture and diversity of its destinations, with experiences that link communities and those that are part of the tourism value chain.
Guanajuato was part of the Mexico pavilion, which brought together representatives from other States, destinations and services.

During IFTM Top Resa 2026, it was announced that Mexico will be the Guest of Honor at the 2027 edition , which will allow the country to expand its presence in the European market through a broader participation, with representatives from destinations, tour operators and companies in the sector, as well as cultural and gastronomic activities.
As part of this agenda, the event “Mexico is in… in France” was held on September 16 at the Eiffel Tower, where Guanajuato and other States presented their tourism offer to tour operators, travel agents, media, and special guests. The event brought together 150 attendees and featured artistic and cultural performances, as well as a networking space for members of the tourism sector.

For the People’s Government, participating in international spaces like IFTM Top Resa represents an opportunity to add promotion, connectivity, investment and new business opportunities for the destinations and the people who live from tourism in Guanajuato.
The Guanajuato SUMA strategy promotes collaboration between government, businesses, and service providers to strengthen the tourism sector and generate benefits that reach more regions and communities in the State, a vision that has also been reflected in Guanajuato’s participation in specialized international meetings.
