Young entrepreneurs count on ‘Tu Puedes’

“Tu Puedes Guanajuato” finances projects of young entrepreneurs in the State with up to 500,000 pesos

The young entrepreneurship ecosystem in Guanajuato has a safe and tangible financing mechanism through the “Your ideas are valuable” credit, operated by Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato.

This strategic scheme was designed to convert previously validated projects in business incubators or accelerators into formal, operational companies.

One case that exemplifies the regional impact of this public policy, implemented by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is that of Diego Armando Corral, a young man originally from Irapuato.

“Having a good idea isn’t always enough; what really makes the difference is having the support to make it real. This funding not only gave me resources, it gave me the confidence to take the next step and start building my own business,” said the Irapuatense.

After overcoming the barrier of lack of initial capital by accessing this credit, Corral formally consolidated a company specializing in the distribution of tires for all types of vehicles, with a technical focus on heavy machinery, cranes and forklifts.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, explained that “Tus Ideas Valen” has available amounts of up to 500,000 pesos and offers preferential conditions compared to traditional banking.

“The young talent in Guanajuato needs financial tools that keep pace with innovation. With ‘Your Ideas Are Valuable,’ the People’s Government not only provides resources, but also validates the methodological effort of young people who have already gone through an incubation process, ensuring that their projects start with highly competitive rates and the necessary liquidity to sustain themselves in the market,” said Padilla.

“We break down the initial financing barrier, which is usually the main obstacle for new professionals. By offering a fixed rate of 8.84% and a three-month grace period, we give financial viability to incubated projects so that young people can move from classrooms or laboratories to leading real companies that generate jobs in their municipalities,” said the Official.

Ivon informed that, during the 2025 fiscal year, the State agency she leads invested more than 400 million pesos to support more than 6,400 entrepreneurs and business owners to move ahead, which made it possible to secure more than 8,000 jobs in the 46 municipalities, in the commercial, industrial and service sectors.
